Our daughter uses the camera at events and parties, generally indoors, in the evening. It is also the quality of the pictures taken. I still I can't stand the colourful Instax concept that lures young girls into needlessly expensive very low quality traditional photography when there are digital alternative available. Our Daughter shot through all her Instax cartridges quite soon so it was time to buy a new expensive stock. Though I can see why some people like that for a change. The rainbow feature just implies that the very thick borders of each picture's frame comes in a different colour rather than being white. This Rainbow version of the Instax shots is once more a fairly pointless variation on a pointless product. The colour is never deep or accurate, more like the faded 1970’s pictures from my family album. The more so as each picture is encased in a thick border.
Moreover the pictures the Instax camera produces are small so it is quite hard to discern whats actually depicted. And several in each batch are faulty, taken by error. However the lenses are poor, the tech low and the flash too bright.
It is not only the price of these pictures that is upsetting. However these replacement film packs, with only 10 shots are super expensive. The colourful camera made a nice gift at the time as it is attractively presented and it seems like a fun gadget. In some cases, the nature of the item means that it is non-returnable, for example, due to hygiene/health and personal care/wellness/consumable nature of the product.To me its wasn't clear from the Amazon description what this Candy pop variant of the Instax shots really was about.
